[SA] 3 Common Fashion Mistakes

If you know me, you know I don't try to dress myself up normally and I'm always in my "shorts and tee". It's like my default template. I do try for special occasions or when I'm going out for a date. I don't try to be an expert but I definitely need to point out these common mistakes that people make on the street because you won't see me making them even though I'm not very fashionable.

Fashion is always changing and people, we need to learn to adapt to them! Some times, some of us tends to get a little overboard though and makes mistakes but of course, we don't realize it. We are humans, it's not a sin to make mistakes but we need to learn from it.

Fashion Mistake #1 - Showing too much skin.

Some women may want to attempt that sexy look but often do it the wrong way. The key here is to dress appropriately yet stylish in the most modest way you can. I think girls nowadays get the wrong idea from American TV shows that portray "less skins" dress up is the norm... but it's not. It just make people look at you more when you're crossing the street and it's not the good kind of looking. Make sure you are not exposing areas which may dismiss that sexy aura you want to others to see (eg. too much cleavage or too much butt-cleavage. That badonkadonk). Showing too much skin may get you attention but surely not positive. Remember, less is more.

Fashion Mistake #2 - That Muffin-top!

The next fashion mistakes women have experience throughout the days is wearing tight tops. This situation is okay if you are skinny as a model but for the ladies who have ‘love handles’ should steer clear of it. It cannot be denied that a lot of women has this problem and choosing the right outfit is a must. This is because tight clothes will expose your flesh overflow and it is not a great sight to see. Plus, it's not good for your body either, because you are basically choking your own body! I always have this problem when I'm out shopping, I always choose the pants which expose my extra flappy parts, it's so unflattering. Some times I even buy them off the shelves because I want to make it my motivation to slim down. So, the pants are still there in my wardrobe, never once I wore it out. LOL.
Instead of beating yourself up, the best way a woman can look gorgeous is by wearing a loose cut tee or blouse and avoid that chunky waist showing. Besides that, women can also avoid the problem by wearing high waist pants to balance your figure. Best trick ever.
Now, it's the time to take that belly dancing class I always wanted to try.

Fashion Mistake #3 - The Walking Accessories Hanger

The third common mistake women make is over accessorizing their outfits with too many bling. It is true that jewelries do perk up an outfit for a more dazzling appearance but wearing too much can jeopardize the whole thing. Go simple with a few piece to match your outfit and walk out feeling amazing everywhere you go. And again, less is more. Don't turn yourself into a walking hanger, it's difficult to watch a person walking around with that much things on their neck and arms.

Week 4 | I graduated...

Sonntag, 22 March 2015

Le guys

Berit invited us over to her house for a simple birthday lunch/cake session on her birthday's eve. Plus it was Sunday, so what better way to spend the day with a few friends over aye? Berit made a really huge batch of brownies which I ate.. a lot of.. *guilty* and I even took some home.. twice. Hahaha! Sorry, it was just too good and I'm "helping" her to finish them all before they go bad. We played a few rounds of "Bullshit" which is a game of lying with poker cards.

Week 3.4 | Eclipse! & A walk in Zell-Weierbach

I bought a new pair of Birkenstock! Surprisingly, it's quite hard to find them here in Germany (I mean physically). And I thought it was everywhere considering is it made in/from Germany. Ordered them online on http://www.natuerlich.de/ because I found out that it was waaaaaaay cheaper than buying it on Amazon or a retail shop but the website is in German only. But it's okay, we have google translate for that. Plus the online service is crazy good! In under 24 hours (after submitting my online order), they UPS it to my place. That's efficiency! Malaysians need to learn some of this. I love the existence of consumer's right too, I can return them within two weeks without any reason and I can even exchange the size for free if I want to, within 30 days. I'm just so fascinated by this because my online shopping experience back home was so different and there's no such thing as returning goods after they sent it to you. That service.

Week 3.3 | Cycling trip to Willstätt

Tuesday, 17 March 2015

Finally, it's time to start class. It's the first official week of the semester and frankly, it's a mess for me. I didn't understand the schedule so I had to wait until I met my advisor. He helped us in determining the classes schedules but the schedules weren't... correct. Well, it is but it's just that classes don't work that way. First of all, we were late to our first class because of our meeting with the advisor. It was suppose to be in room D012 but when we went there, nobody was in. We had to ask for help, and it turns out the class has moved to D014. It was so strange because we did told the professor that we would be late for the class but she never thought of leaving some kind of note for us to inform us that she has changed the classroom. Way to go.

Week 3.2 | Rambling through Hohes Horn

Saturday, 15 March 2015

We had a pretty great weather last week. It was sunny everyday! After experiencing the wind and rain, this is kind of a surprise but I'm thankful for sunny days. That means more outdoor days! And no-umbrella-slapping-me-in-the-face days.

After hearing about Hohe/Hohes Horn Tower, I've decided to hike there! They say it's a great viewing point. I followed this route I found on the Offenburg website. I'm not brave enough to just take whatever path I see yet. It was my first time hiking alone so it was very exciting (and some what scary). It's not a bad thing to wander off alone. The best thing is that you can do whatever you want, whenever you want. You don't need to explain what you're doing, and just do it. It's just so much more simpler too and it feels like a soul searching journey(?)..... I sound like a hippie.

I abandoned my bicycle, put on my running shoes, and off I go! I don't really have the right gear to hike, but it's not like I have any other choice so.. Anything goes! Thankfully, most of the paths are easy to walk on.

Walking to Fessenbach

Week 3.1 | Freiburg Trip

Just a random picture of us in Schoellmanns, a rooftop cafe in town.
Okay, that's not a picture from my Freiburg trip, but I just wanna put it into my blog. :D

I split up my week 3 post into a few parts just so I wouldn't cramp all the pictures in one whole post because I have PLENTY of them. And to load just that one blog post for everything would be hell. So, please don't be surprised if I ended up posting 3 blog posts in a day. :D

Week 2 | Alpirsbach, New Bicycle!, Spanish Dinner, & Gengenbach

There's just simply too much pictures to show and too much stuff to write (as always)!! So, I'll just cramp all of it in this one post. I've actually uploaded most of the pictures in my Facebook too but just for the sake of my blog, I'll upload it here again.. with a few extras!

6th March 2015
Alpirsbach Excursion

In this short trip, we manage to visit the Kloster and also had some beer-tasting session.

Sarah & Álvaro!

Week 1 | Settling in Offenburg

It's official! I'm really doing this and the day has come. I'm here for almost a week and I think I'm settling in okay. It's just that there's so much new stuff that I have to get used to. It's been awhile since I blogged too. I just lost my will to write much anymore. I want to write in everyday but that's kind of impossible since I'm always out and about and I am really tired when I'm back home. And blogging takes quite a lot of time from me.

Feb 2015 ft. Gathering, V-Day, Chinese New Year

Thesis submission is done! And all I can tell you is my sloth mode is turned on right after the submission of my FYP things. And since I have not updated for quite a long time, this whole post is dedicated to my February.

Finally tried Upstairs Cafe for the first time. Even though the place was pretty near to my house, I didn't know it exist until I was messing around with Foursquare because I'm bored at home. Plus I need a place to hang out with my friends. It has good reviews and ratings, and that is what made me interested. And after having a taste of their pasta, well, the ratings don't lie. The carbonara is really really good, it has the perfect portion for me and it's cheap!
It's the perfect combination for an Asian cheapskate. Hahaha! But seriously though, you guys have to try it if you haven't.

It's really nice to have a gathering now and them. Even though we don't hang out with each other a lot during our degree (since we're from different Faculty and majors), we did some how get along really well even until now. Heck, we've actually known each other for 5 years already! Time really flies. And every time we hang, we ended up talking something ridiculous or doing something ridiculous (like that impromptu KK Trip) and offering relationship advices. Them feels. Hahaha

As for Valentine day, since we're too lazy to be romantic in our own ways (what a few-years-relationship can do to you), we decided to go out and have a fancy dinner with the other couples which are out too for a fancy dinner too.

The ceiling caught my attention when I put down phone with the camera on. Maybe I should do this to my future room too, with paints and stuff.

We went to El Cerdo (thanks Aleena for introducing the place to me) and we had the Valentine special menu since it's the only thing that we can take during the 14th of February.

This was awesome. I like evrything on this plate

The soup was really good too

But the main course was a let down. It was basically tasteless and on mine, the meat was very grainy

and you know I love them strawberries... STRAWBERRIESSSSSS

<3

And the next day of Valentine, we went to IOI City Mall for District 21. We didn't take any pictures in there since both of our belongings were locked in. The place was pretty cool and we got in for RM55 per person, I think it was a promo price that day or something. Usually it cost RM60+, not sure when it ends though. The place was kinda cool and we spent like 2-3 hours in there climbing and being Batman and acting out Mission Impossible and shit.. There's trampolines too, which made me nauseous. I always wanted to try a trampoline but dang, it hurts because I'm very uncoordinated.

Well, and I think once was enough for a life time. Thank you.

And now, fast forwarding to Chinese New Year.

Visiting my god children is a must of course.

Doing what I like to do when I was younger, that is watching my friends playing basketball but not participating. lol

Baby Shun is here in Malaysia too this year! He grows up so fast and still very cute!

A reunion dinner with dad and the family on Chinese New Year's eve

With my brother, his girlfriend and our "Ah gu". lol

Visited Ann's house too and met up with Aleena and Sherlyn. :D

And of course our yearly CNY dinner with mum's side relatives (with out silly poses pictures)

Well, not much photos of my relatives but only a few. We didn't really have that tradition where we take a photo of everyone because we have a big number there, so it's kind of impossible. But it's kind of sad too. I think we should try taking one next year.

and Lion Dance at my "Lao Gou" house! And the best part was being able to play and see the kids. :D They are simply too adorable!!!

I feel kind of bad for the kids inside the lion though. Because one of the old man keep touching one of the lion's butt... which is actually a guy's butt in reality. Wow, this was very different for me because when I was younger, the adults coaxed me to pet the lion because it is said to bring fortune to me but I actually believe the lion was real and never thought the inside of the costume are humans. LOL. So much has change since then. Man, it sucks to grow up.

And at the end of the lion dance, Shun, Lin and Yun decided to help with the cleaning.. while the adults watched them and were just enjoying the view of this cuteness overload scene. If all the kids were like this every single day of our life, well, life would be really good. Hahaha! Parenting done right!

Also had a steamboat day with the girls. It was a really nice gathering, and it was full with laughter. I had a really great time. I think we should do this every year, and make it a tradition. It's like we are able to see our friends grow up and transition into adulthood with us. And also it's not everyday we get to see each other anymore since we all have our own lives. But it's pretty cool to just meet up and catch up with everyone. :)

But of course, with the boyfriend since I was leaving Malaysia quite soon, so I had to... :(

Lou sang with le uni friends too slash farewell dinner for me I guess.

I'm too lazy to write more and to do proofreading, I'll just leave it here. I'm tired, I need sleep and everything is just moving so fast for me here. I need rest. I have a lot of things to share though. But I don't think I have the time to write much these few days. I'll try though. Since I'm quite excited to share my experience here. Even though it is the third day here, I feel like many things had happened and it felt like more time than 3 days. Look forward to my next post okay!
